The staff at Gaited Horses has come to the decision to turn off the Free Classifieds on the site. The original premise was that the Free Classifieds  would be a free service provided to the Gaited Horse community, and supported by the income from the site. The Gaited Horses site was born to support the horse rescue OHAHS, but income from the site has been minimal at best. The Free Classifieds generate no income for the site and have become time consuming. People loose their user name and passwords, which are encrypted, so we have to go into the code and delete the files, etc..
 
The Photo Classifieds get 5 TIMES the hits of the free text only ads! AND we occasionally run them in the UPDATES which are seen by over 7,500 Gaited Horse Enthusiasts! The fees on the Photo Classifieds are very reasonable, at $41.00 for 4 months, that is less than what it cost to run a text only ad in your local newspaper! The Free Classifieds will be discontinued on April 1st, 2002. Text only ads are available on the same page as the Photo Classifieds for only  $5.00 a month Limited to 30 words or additional charges will apply.
