Question: What is the TRUE definition of a Gaited Horse?
If you could please answer this for me it would be greatly
apriciated.
From Panelist Lee
IMO, a gaited horse is any horse that in addition or in place
of a trot as
an intermediate gait between walk and canter, also performs one or
more of
the following: a stepping pace(aka sobreandando), a saddle rack
(aka corto,
largo, Rocky Mountain gait, "singlefoot", slow tolt), a true rack(fast
tolt)
, a fox trot, or a running walk(aka paso llano). His papers are
irrelevant.
