"Old Cowboy" is Bob Blackwell. Bob is also one of the few remaining cowboys, having been a real working cowboy along side of Billy Bishop whose influence on horsemanship and training can be seen in the training methods being used by today's most popular clinicians.
A Farrier as well as a horseshoer for almost 50 years Bob fits the shoe to the horse rather than trying to cut the horse's hoof to fit the shoe like some shoers do today. (How would you like it if that happened to you?) His greatest joy is seeing horses that have been foundered or otherwise crippled due to poor foot care returned to soundness and a life of comfort once again.
